Das Wat Srinagarindravararam im schweizerischen Gretzenbach (SO), wird durch den ehrenwerten Abt Phrathep Kittimoli, Dr. Thongsoon Rongthong Suriyajoto geführt. Es steht in der 2500-Einwohner-Gemeinde, zwischen Olten und Aarau, und gilt seit der offiziellen Eröffnung im Juni 1996 als das spirituelle und kulturelle Zentrum für viele Tausende Buddhisten und Thailänder in der Schweiz und den umliegenden Ländern.

Die Zurich Buddhist Vihara ist am 19. Mai 2003 mit dem Ziel gegründet worden, für die Sri Lankischen Buddhisten in der Schweiz wie auch alle Interessierten ein religiöses und spirituelles Begegnungszentrum zu schaffen, in welchem die buddhistische Philosophie wie auch die Meditation unterrichtet werden kann.
Mit der Eröffnung des Begegnungszentrums in Brugg, Ort der Meditation und des Austausches, kann jedermann von den Unterweisungen der Mönche profitieren.
Das Haus der Besinnung wurde im Jahre 1974 von der Stiftung gleichen Namens erworben und dient den Nachfolgern der Lehre des Buddha als Ort der Kontemplation und Begegnung.
Unter der Lehre ist hierbei der Dhamma zu verstehen, wie er im Pali-kanon enthalten ist und wie ihn der Erwachte in der 63. Rede der Mittleren Sammlung umgrenzt hat.
Die Buddhistische Gemeinschaft Schweiz wurde im April 2002 in Dicken gegründet. Sie vertritt die Lehre des Buddha, wie sie in den drei Textsammlungen des Pãlikanon niedergeschrieben ist, der auch Theravãda-Buddhismus genannt wird. Die Gemeinschaft hat das Ziel die Lehre des Buddha zugänglich zu machen, sie zu studieren und zu praktizieren; Informationsveranstaltungen und Kurse über den Buddhismus zu organisieren; die Anliegen und Interessen des Theravãda-Buddhismus gegenüber dem Staat und der Gesellschaft zu vertreten; den Kontakt mit anderen buddhistischen Organisationen zu pflegen und mit ihnen zusammenzuarbeiten.
Die Vipassana Meditationsgruppe kommt jeweils Mittwochs um 19.15 zusammen. Auf stille Meditation folgt eine Dreiviertelstunde Dhamma-Austausch. Massgebliche Lehrer sind u.a. Ajahn Chah und Ayya Khema. Einmal im Monat wird ein Mönch vom Kloster Dhammapala oder ein Lehrer/eine Lehrerin vom Meditationszentrum Beatenberg für ein Teaching eingeladen.
Die MAHABODHI SOCIETY in Bangalore ist eine Wohlfahrtsgesellschaft und wurde vor mehr als 50 Jahren vom ehrwürdigen Mönch Acharya Buddharakkhita gegründet. Sie betreut und unterhält Meditationszentren, Krankenhäuser und Schulen in Bangalore, Mysore, Diyun und Ladakh. Die Mahabodhi leistet ungeachtet der Religion, der Sprachgruppe oder der Nationalität allen sozial benachteiligten Menschen Hilfe.
Die MAHABODHI METTA FOUNDATION (SCHWEIZ) setzt sich für diese Ideale ein. Sie hilft mit, Heimschulen zu finanzieren und langfristig durch Patenschaften und Spenden den Kindern einen Schulbesuch und ein familiäres Aufwachsen in einem Kinderheim zu ermöglichen.
L’association Mudita, créée en 2006 est une association sans but lucratif qui se donne pour but de :
- soutenir le développement de la méditation en langue française.
- transmettre la pratique de la méditation par la diffusion des enseignements du Bouddha et l’organisation de stages et de retraites, et soutenir la création d’un lieu de méditation.

Die Internationalen Meditationszentren stehen unter der Leitung von Mother Sayamagyi, eine der engsten Schülerinnen Sayagyi U Ba Khins. Sie praktiziert und unterrichtet Meditation seit mehr als 50 Jahren. Seit Sayagyi U Ba Khins Tod im Jahre 1971 führt sie die Tradition weiter.
The Meditation Center Beatenberg has opened its doors at the beginning of 2001. The center offers various forms of meditation from among the great wealth of Buddhist traditions, continuing thereby a tradition of 2500 years, at the same time introducing forms and methods that are helpful in our modern times. Among the various approaches to meditation, there is a particular emphasis on Vipassana meditation retreats.

The Friends of Dhamma is a group of people interested in the study and practice of Theravada Buddhism. It has close contact with the Thai Forest Tradition in the lineage of Ajahn Chah. Some members also translate texts from the Pali Canon into Czech.
'Karunā Sevena' means compassionate abode, (Karunā is Compassion and Sevena is abode) where Venerable Bhikkhuni Visuddhi resides in Czech. Venerable Bhikkhuni Visuddhi established this small monastic environment as a place of refuge for practitioners and dhamma friends to practice and learn together in peace and harmony.
The name 'Karunā Sevena' was given by Venerable Bhikkhuni Visuddhi's teacher, Venerable Bhante Pemasiri.
Venerable Bhante Pemasiri is considered as one of the most modern and highly qualified respected meditation teachers in Sri Lanka.

There have been lots of books translated into Czech since 1989 and the number of people who have had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Buddha's teaching has increased. We would like to see more people have this opportunity so that people who read only in Czech can have easier and cheaper access to a larger number of Buddhist books. For this purpose, the Dharma for Free (Dharma-Zdarma) project is being established.
Dhammarama, a non-profit organization, unites the followers of the original Buddha’s teaching, who intend to establish a buddhist monastery and a meditation centre in the Czech Republic named AYUKUSALA DHAMMARAMA VIHARA. This place is supposed to be a retreat for monks, nuns and lay meditators, who wish to cultivate their minds according to the Buddha´s method, Dhamma, which leads to the happy life coping.
