"With a vast, expanded, immense mind".[5] – This mind is single, but as its magnitude differs, there are three attributive adjectives used.

This mind is vast (vipula) when it includes one single region, extended (mahadgata) when it goes far and high, immense (apramāṇa) when it includes the nadir (adhastād diś) and the other nine regions.

"Accompanied by restlessness" should be understood in the stated manner. It refers to consciousness accompanied by restlessness, or where restlessness becomes prominent due to specific conditions.
"Exalted" means having reached a state of greatness due to its ability to suppress defilements, its abundant fruition, and its long continuity, or it is undertaken with great, noble desire, energy, mind, and wisdom.
"The rest" refers to limited and measureless states.
"With something beyond" means together with states capable of surpassing itself.
"Supramundane" means transcended, going beyond the world by not being included in the worldly sphere.
"Unsurpassed" means there is nothing beyond it.
"Concentrated" means well-established with concentration that has reached the characteristic of deep meditation.
"Attained to temporary liberation" refers to sense-sphere wholesome consciousness.
"Attained to liberation by suppression" refers to exalted consciousness.
"Attained to liberation by cutting off" refers to path-consciousness.
"Attained to liberation by tranquilization" refers to fruition-consciousness.
"Attained to liberation by escape" refers to both of these (path and fruition consciousness).
Although some reviewing consciousnesses and others have Nibbana as their object, they are not considered as attained to liberation by escape due to the absence of such function.
"All types" refers to those mentioned in the canonical texts in terms of the divisions of "with lust" and so forth, as well as their intermediate divisions.
