Bodhikusuma Buddhist and Meditation Centre is a non-profit making organisation managed solely by public supports and donations located in the heart of the city of Sydney, Australia.
The aim is not only to teach and practice Buddhist teachings and meditation but also to foster friendship and goodwill amongst Australian Buddhists as well as to keep in harmony with those of other religions.
The centre conducts regular Dhamma and Meditation classes, discussions, workshops and retreats. The centre also host meetings for auspicious occasions.
The centre welcomes everyone who wishes to enhance their spiritual understanding, through learning about the Buddhist way of life and meditation regardless of the nationalities and religious backgrounds.


The International Meditation Centre at Sunshine, NSW was founded in 1989 to promote the practice of Buddhist Vipassana meditation as taught by the late Sayagyi U Ba Khin.


Dhammagiri is a small Theravada Buddhist forest monastery associated with the tradition of Ajahn Chah.  It aims to transcend today's bewildering confusion of Buddhist gurus, dogmas and techniques by returning to the original teachings of the Buddha as found in the early parts of the Pali canon.

Aims of Patacara Bhikkhuni Hermitage:
a) to provide support, aid and relief for each of Ajahn Vayama and Venerable Seri, Buddhist Bhikkhunis of the Theravada Forest Tradition who reside in the Patacara Bhikkhuni Hermitage established according to the guidelines and practices of the Vinaya Pitaka of the Pali Canon;
b) to provide the four requisites to each of Ajahn Vayama and Venerable Seri for the duration that they remain Buddhist Bhikkhunis, the four requisites being food, clothing, shelter and medicine in accordance with Buddhist tradition and principles.


The Perth Insight Meditation Group is a group of dhamma practitioners who invite meditation teachers from around the world to conduct retreats in Perth.

The Dhamma Sukha Meditation Centre (DSMC) Australia is an urban meditation centre for the practice of Vipassana or Insight meditation. It is a residential centre in Springvale, Victoria, Australia, dedicated to the study and practice of Buddhist teachings.
Started in 2003, DSMC functions as a Dhamma school, providing Buddhist teaching for the moral development of devotees and children. DSMC also aims to provide facilities for educating and training of Buddhist monks.
DSMC offers a broad range of practice and community activities. This includes a weekly schedule of meditation sessions, dhamma talks (talks on Buddhist teaching and practice), classes, group discussions, and a variety of meditation and study retreats.
DSMC does not require payment for any of our teachings or meetings. The support of our teachers and all our centre expenses is done through the voluntary donations of our community.
DSMC is guided by resident Chief Abbot Sayadaw U Pandita.

East Malvern

The Buddhist Society of Victoria (BSV) is a centre for the learning and practice of Buddhism in Victoria, Australia. The BSV conducts regular meditation classes and retreats, and facilitates talks on Buddhist teachings given by monks and nuns and respected lay teachers.  All activities are conducted in English and are free of charge.


This group caters for intensive practice for experienced meditators in the Satipathana Vipassana tradition of the late Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw of Burma.
